Rape falls under the umbrella of sexual violence, which is a profound negative and traumatic life event with widespread psychological and sociological effects on the victim irrespective of their gender. Rape is a global misery which despite the penalty for the offence under the law continues unabated especially among tertiary institution students. Family life and Health Education as a course was introduced to solve sexual health related problems, but little or no solution has been proffered to the challenge of sexual violence viz a viz rape. Social Studies is a problem solving subject and a value laden subject that instilin students right types of value and attitude that can make them appreciate and treat other respectfully while Religious Education on the other hand nurtures man spiritually, improves or even transforms one’s conduct and instils the fear of God in individual. This study therefore, examines the use of Religious Education and Social Studies to combat rape syndrome among tertiary institutions in Ogun State. Stratified random sampling technique was used in selecting one hundred and twenty (120) students from two (2)tertiary institutions in Ogun State. Data Analysis was done, and the findings show that.
